Question: What do
you like best about working at Transcription Plus, LLC?
Answer: I love the feeling of family within the
company. I know if I need help with an assignment, , there are
people who will step up and help me out, just as I would do for
them. I also love the flexibility, being able to work when the
kids are in school and then reverting back to “mom”
when they’re home. Lastly, I love that each assignment is
different. It keeps things from getting monotonous.
Question: What is your contribution to Transcription
Plus, LLC for this past year? Can you give an example of a challenging
assignment?
Answer: I’ve been working on assignments
for the VA, rheumatology doctors, and various general transcription.
I’m a perfectionist so I pay attention to detail in all
of my assignments. A challenging assignment was a dictation given
by someone from another country. They made many references to
names of places and happenings in their country that I’d
never heard of before, so I needed to look it all up. I love learning
new things and found it all really interesting!
Question: How do you describe your work ethic?
Answer: I consider my work a representation of
myself, so I never give less than my best.
Question: Tell me about your proudest achievement
outside of work.
Answer: If I discount my children, I’d
consider my biggest achievement to be my taking and completing
the medical transcription course and graduating with High Honors
while both of my kids were very young. It was hard, and sometimes
I questioned whether I could do it, but when I received that final
grade, it was the best feeling. I knew all of my hard work had
paid off!
Question: What are 5 words that would best be
used to describe you?
Answer: I had to ask my husband this one because
I wouldn’t know how to answer it and he said “smart,
caring, principled, responsible, and funny”!
Question: What do you enjoy doing outside of
work? Do you spend time with family?
Answers: I love to go outside and playing catch
with the kids or shooting basketballs and playing ‘horse’
against them. They’ve also discovered that ‘old-time’
board games like Scrabble and Yahtzee, etc. are fun so we play
those as well. There’s always lots of laughing going on
when we have our family games (and I couldn’t be happier
that they’re not on their electronics!).
Question: What is your favorite quote?
Answer: “We must overcome the notion that
we must be regular...it robs you of the change to be extraordinary
and leads you to the mediocre” - Uta Hagen
