Q: Mary, can you tell
us a little about Transcription Plus, LLC? A: As founder, owner and CEO of Transcription Plus, LLC, I am proud of the sustained growth and success this company has enjoyed over the past 24+ years. What started as an at-home business, way before “virtual offices” were ever heard of, to the current status of a company with a multitude of clients and staff spread across the USA – I would say we had humble beginnings! Transcription Plus has the distinct pleasure of securing the National A+ Better Business Bureau Accreditation, which I am very pleased about. We were able to do that by attaining long-standing respect as a company that consistently provides absolutely accurate documentation to professionals nationwide. Certainly, I have exceeded my initial aspiration! Q: How do you describe your work style? Obviously you have been successful! A: I work best under pressure and when I have a pile of “to do’s” in front of me to tackle. Q: How would a good friend describe you? A: Extremely dedicated to my family. I am always dependable; when I say I’m going to do something, I can always be counted on to follow through. Determined to get positive results – which can sometimes be perceived as stubbornness! My glass is always more than half full. I have a positive attitude and am willing to try most new adventures. Work Hard/Play Hard! I expect just as much from other people as I expect from myself. There is no place in my world for laziness or lack of effort. Q: What do you like about living in New England? A: Actually, I have always wanted to live where it is warm for the majority of the year! I just haven’t made it yet. New England allows me to be fairly close to my favorite place – the ocean – any time of the year and also provides beautiful areas for skiing and hiking. Q: Mary, outside of your career, what goals have you set for yourself? A: Staying fit and healthy! I continue to be involved in volunteer charity events. Q: What does success mean to you? A: Although I have accomplished many things that I am proud of in my life, by far my most fulfilling success is played out in my daughter, Bria. She is my pride and joy! Not only is she a beautiful person, inside and out, with great friends and great compassion and love for animals, but Bria has always excelled academically, graduating Magna Cum Laude from Marist College. She has extensively traveled the world studying in 13 countries, worked teaching ESL in Vietnam, and established an impressive career in graphic design and photography in NYC and Wyoming. Additionally, Bria is now experiencing motherhood herself, having brought my granddaughter, Sadie, into the world and loves, enjoys and excels in her new role. Q: Tell me about your hobbies and interests outside of work. A: My husband and I country dance three to four times a week, which is an incredibly fun hobby! It is great exercise and a shared activity that keeps our relationship happy and healthy. We also reap a great deal of pleasure from our furry friends and travel all over New England showing our beautiful cats. I love to hike and I would certainly never turn down a day on the ocean or a walk on the beach any time of year. The rest of my leisure time is spent working out at the gym. Q: What motivates you? |
